TED Talk: A 50-year plan for energy

I don’t have a ton of time to write about this, but I think everyone should watch this. While I think that it is wise to take the facts and figures that Amory Lovins is giving us with a grain of salt, I don’t believe that he is lying to us–which is something we need to worry about from big industry. Sustainability, CSR, efficiency and “greening” ourselves and our companies is one of the most important discussions in our society today. It’s right up there with the importance of equal rights for women and homosexuals and solving the problems of malfunctioning democracy. Taking in information like Amory Lovins’s plan for wresting ourselves from fossil fuels grasp shows how close we really are to a barrier-shatteringly sustainable (and cool, and responsible) future.
